Macie Brooke

Its been a while since my last blog. Anyways Macie had just turned 2 a few weeks ago and I was thinking about all that she has accomplished it these short couple of years! She is the smartest 2 year old I know :) My 24month old can count to 10 in english and spanish, can point to multiple body parts when we say them in english and spanish, and if you show her a body part she can name it in english. she can say a few main spanish quotes like hola, como estas'. She knows all the letters of the alphabet. All her colors including black brown white and gray.She can speak in short scentences and tell you what she needs or wants.  She has memorized a few books and pretends to read other books she hasnt memorized.  I caught her today looking at a princess book and she said, "Ariel sit in water" and thats exactly what the picture in the book is! She pretends to write her letters.  She is 95% potty trained.  She has been in big girl panties since december 18th. She can sing a few songs including happy birthday, which is the cutest thing I have ever heard. She says please and thank you and has even used excuse me please :) my mom got a kick out of that phrase.  She can tell you what she wants from sonic. Its always grilled cheese, french fries and apple juice. She knows most if not all family members by name even ones that live in kansas. She knows the names of her classmates and even has a crush on a couple boys Cruz and Marcos. She is such a great momma to her baby dolls and even puts baggies on her hands to change their diapers.( im assuming thats from daycare.)  She has such and imagination. She uses shampoo, soap, listerine, lotion and powder bottles as her babies.  Covers them with blankes and rocks them while sining "rock tree top" haha. We  have a cut out in our shower for our shampoo and she uses that as a changing table :)  When she plays in her house she says bye, love you, be good!  And she wont let you leave unless you give her a hug and a kiss. There are so many more funny things that she has done and said. I cant even belive that she is mine all mine! I have loved this 5 week break with her and im sad I have to go back to school. I hate having to miss these priceless moments.  Or always have my mind preocupied by nursing school work that I cant enjoy any time I have to spend with her while im in school.  Im glad I wrote all this down so years later we can look back and see how far she has come and how advanced she was for a 24 month old! I am such a proud momma and I am so blessed to have her in my life!!
